This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend New York Comic Con 2019 at the Javits’ Center in NYC, checking out booths, panels, and more for both PopVinyls.com and DisKingdom.com. For the rest of the month, I will share some of my experiences, pictures, news, and more (as well as some reviews) from the convention, so you can see a lot of fun stuff coming out this holiday season and into 2020.

First up, a look at the special gallery that DC Universe put on, celebrating the fan favorite villainess… Harley Quinn. This gallery was open to the public in an off-site space from the actual New York Comic Con, so it was FREE to everyone who wanted to visit. If you were a paying member of the DC Universe App, you also got entrance into the lounge (which I did not visit).

Inside the gallery were a lot of different things celebrating Harley, including…

A bunch of concept art from the various incarnations of Harley over the years. Here is just a sampling.

Then there were props from the upcoming Birds of Prey movie, which features Margot Robbie as Harley quite extensively. This includes roller skates, weapons, and more.

Lastly, and most prominently, were the originals pieces of art, created by some of the great DC artists. Here they are.

I did not participate in either one of these activities, but guests cold also get their hair dyed like Harley (with the blue and red) and make a video with a cartoon Harley from the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series, coming to DC Universe next year.

Guests left with a special Harley Quinn animated series poster which may be part of the different types of posters, as well as a special collector’s pin as part of the weekend long promo from DC and DC Universe.

This was a great event, and extension to the convention. My friends and I had a lot of fun, and look forward to seeing what might come from DC Universe next year.

Don’t forget to visit both PopVinyls.com and DisKingdom.com each day this month to check out all of the fun stuff, and more, from New York Comic Con.
