For today’s review, I am going to take a look at a piece that I initially purchased last year at New York Comic Con. However, for some reason, this piece was put into storage before I had the chance to review it. When I was going through boxes while self-isolating at home, I found it and realized that no review occurred. So, here is Blinky from The Simpsons.
In this Kidrobot figure, Blinky appears here as Nigiri, a Japanese Sushi dish. While the regular release of this figure shows Blinky in his normal orange color over top of rice, this NYCC exclusive has Blinky in a metallic rainbow color.
Also included are little metallic piles of ginger and wasabi, and a sushi platter diorama.
This is a really fun collectible. While I do not necessarily collect Kidrobot pieces, Blinky has always been one of those obscure characters from The Simpsons. I always love it when he appears in an episode (few and far between). I picked this piece up for myself because I was at the Kidrobot booth getting another exclusive for a friend of mine… and this was an impulse buy. I am not upset by that at all.
