For today’s Pop! review, I take a closer look at The Grinch and Cindy-Lou Who 2pk. from the recently released film The Grinch by Illumination. Exclusive to Barnes & Noble here in the US, the 2pk features the common versions of The Grinch and Cindy-Lou Who Pop! Vinyls, but packaged together in exclusive packaging.

Is it worth possibly paying more for an exclusive 2pk of commonly released Pop! Vinyls? Some people tend to think so. Me? I just saw them and wanted them, before really knowing that they were both commons. I actiually thought that Cindy-Lou Who’s stance in this one was exclusive, but looking into things further and it is not.

I have yet to be able to see the movie in theaters, but I hope things die down post Christmas. I have heard a lot of fun things from friends who went to see it, so I am excited about it.

Overall, I really wish that “exclusive” in some of these cases meant more than just special boxing. However, I do like the designs of these Pop! Vinyls, so all is not lost. I will probably wait to decide until after seeing the movie if they will become a permanent addition to my collection or become a gift to someone, possibly for next Christmas. We shall see.
