Boys and girls of every age, this Halloween night we’re bringing you some customs inspired by the holiday worlds of old. Created by Dustin Fragmin, these vinyl statues depict some key figures and scenes from our introduction to Halloween town in Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
Customizing toys began at a young age for Fragmin when, as a child, he would mix up the body parts of GI Joes. Continuing through various toy lines he started toying around with POP vinyls a couple years ago after receiving a blank DIY POP as a gift. Fragmin, a tattoo artist by trade, uses customizing POPs as a source of relaxation and as such doesn’t take on commission work. “It’s where I have all the freedom in the world to create anything I desire,” he noted, and he very rarely recreates a figure.
Using his imagination and creative freedom, Fragmin pulled the Hangman Tree and Skellington’s fiery fountain dive from this classic holiday film and added a touch of POP vinyl whimsy. Expertly creating not only the POP figures but fitting stands for them, as well, Fragmin has created adorable figures worthy of the Pumpkin King himself. These vinyls are definitely bringing the screams to Halloween Town this All Hallows Eve.
