It’s Star Wars Day and in its honor we’re dedicating this week’s Custom Corner to one of the most beloved universe’s of all time. Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Sywalker’s apprentice and one of the main protagonists in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” is created here in POP form by Honey Bond featuring her dual-wielding light sabers, hand-painted lekku (head-tails), and even tiny detailed designs on her tunic.
Like many custom artists, Bond started out making custom Vinylmations before moving on to POPs. Since then she has created several custom figures, all featuring female characters from comic books and TV shows. When asked about her process, Bond replied that she especially takes her time with sanding out a sculpt before painting, aiming to give the custom a more official feel – an attention to detail that does not go unnoticed with this sculpt!
It’s clear the force is strong with this one! Happy Star Wars Day, and May the Fourth be with you all.
