Custom Corner: Silent Hill's Pyramid

A visit to town can normally be a pretty mundane task, but when that town is Silent Hill… well, anything could happen. This foggy town is full of fear and horrors. But this particular horror, created by Adrian Müller and perhaps the most iconic of his recent series of Silent Hill-inspired customs, shrinks down that fear into a tiny, stylized vinyl that still manages to pack a mighty horror-filled punch.

Custom Corner: The Pyramid in Silent Hill

Adrian, like many custom artists, started as a collector, but some of the POP!s didn’t sit quite right with him. “I wanted the POP!s to look more detailed, more realistic,” Adrian notes. Starting with a few armored Fallout vinyls, he set to work repainting one figure, and then another. His drive to make every piece better than the one before is apparent in his attention to detail and superb craftsmanship. Most recently, this has led to a series of hand-sculpted horror customs inspired by his love of classic horror stories, including characters such as The Executioner and Ghostface.

Generally, his customs take him a week or two, with Adrian focused on making every little detail as perfect as possible. “I pay all that attention to every single piece because, for me, quality is much more important than quantity,” Adrian notes on his process. Each piece is sculpted and painted by hand with high quality materials, making each one unique, a touch that doesn’t go unnoticed in the final products.

“I don’t make copies of already existing pieces,” Adrian states. “My ambition is always just to create art.” And the results are truly artistic masterpieces.
