It’s not been a huge secret that last year, Funko purchased Stashpedia. While it took longer than most people would have thought, Funko now has officially announced this and the upcoming closer of the Stashpedia website and app so that Funko’s new app can take the best parts of Stash and merge it with theirs.

Now one murky aspect of this was Funko owning an app that promotes secondary value which can be odd for a company selling at retail. Funko has found a great way to work around this by now using the prices as set by Pop Price Guide (Aka PPG).

Lots of changes in the Funko community (with some coming here n the next month or two but more on that later) but for now, let’s check out the official Funko announcement:

In the words of the immortal Frank Sinatra, start spreadin’ the news: Stashpedia has joined the Funko family! What does this mean for you? Funko will soon be releasing a new and improved collection tracking app combining your favorite features from Stashpedia with the most complete catalog of Funko products anywhere. Being a fan requires time, energy and commitment and we want to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

The old Funko app, Stashpedia app and stashpedia.com will be deactivated soon so keep an eye on our social media channels and blog for future announcements. When the transition occurs, you’ll need to download the all-new Funko app to keep tracking your stash but don’t worry–you’ll be able to move your collections to the new app.  We’ll provide step-by-step instructions to help guide you through the process and keep you updated on new features and functionality.
