Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!

For today’s review, I am going to take a look at one of the latest (and one of the last) Toys ‘R’ Us Funko exclusives. It was announced earlier this week that all of the TRU US and UK stores will be closing down (Canadian stores have been spared so far, reports have said). However, prior to that, Funko released a TRU exclusive for the Fraggle Rock line, and that would be Sprocket, the faithful furry companion of Doc, an eccentric inventor in the realm the Fraggles call “Outer Space” (aka Earth’s surface). Though Doc was played by an actual human, Sprocket was, like the Fraggles in the series, a Muppet. Let’s take a closer look.

Now, some thought that this exclusive would be a flocked version, similar to the BAM Exclusive Red Pop! Vinyl I reviewed before.  However, Sprocket is not flocked, and I actually prefer it on this sculpt, given the amount of white in the coloring (in which white paint is painted over flock and can have issues, like my recent Rajah purchase) and the high level of detail in the figure.

Loving the hair sculpting on this figure.

Overall, this a great addition to the Fraggle Rock line, a line I am slowly completing. The show was a foundation of my childhood, and I love that Funko gave them some love for their 35th anniversary.

Also…. 570 Pop! Vinyls in the Television line (and more by now)?!? I remember when a poster was released by Barnes & Noble in 2014 showcasing like 165 Pop! Vinyls in the line, not to mention so many more offshoot lines that could have easily be put in this collection. WOW.

Did you add Sprocket to your collection? Let us know your thoughts on him below.
