Marvel’s hit mobile game Contest of Champions has made its way to Funko displays at various stores, and today I picked up one of the coolest designs Funko has revealed in a while: Venompool.  While I haven’t played Contest of Champions for a while now, this design was too amazing to resist.

When I took it out of the box, this figure felt very heavy to me for some reason, and it wasn’t until I put it on my desk next to some other Pops that I realized why – it’s 4.5 inches tall, almost an inch higher than the average Pop.  However, it is a really impressive figure.  The facial expression is downright terrifying, as any depiction of Venom should be, and the pose, complete with bent knees and outstretched claws, makes it look like the character is getting ready to lunge at you.  Overall, I would highly recommend this figure to any Marvel Funko collector.  With two of the publisher’s most popular characters combined into one figure, what could possibly go wrong?

  1. Do you have trouble with yours standing? The Gamestop version holding the phone is a little more balanced, but the regular one keeps trying to fall over and take a whole shelf of Symbiote Pops with him.

  2. @DougTrio – Try earthquake putty, its fairly cheap and you won’t have that issue. I’ve used it on a few of my pops that don’t stand.
