Yesterday, Funko announced that Super 7 will continue to release ReAction figures but no longer in conjunction with Funko. Here is the complete press release from Funko:
ReAction Figures Return to Super7
After years of collaborating on the ReAction series of action figures, Funko and Super 7 have announced that Super 7 will resume designing and distributing ReAction figures effective immediately. After releasing our final E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial ReAction figures, Super 7 will steward the brand going forward and produce the figures themselves. However, Funko is not done with action figures! We have a lot of exciting plans to share with you, and we will introduce an all-new line of amazing action figures for 2017. Stay tuned for more news soon! ReAction figures are fantastic and we’re thrilled so many of you enjoyed collecting them. Just wait and see what we create next!
While it’s great the line is continuing, I”m also glad Funko is moving away from the figures. Funko should always take chances on new lines but be ready to drop them if they don’t do as well as they hope. We’ll look forward to seeing the new lines forthcoming from Funko’s talented team.
