One part trophy-hunting extraterrestrial, one part adorable fabric protagonist, one part Funko POP stylization, this vinyl has it all. Created by Sori Krafts, this alien version of the miniature LittleBigPlanet character combines too polar opposite characters into one adorably perfect custom POP vinyl, complete with Predator dreads, textured Sackboy skin, UV reactive glowing eyes and details, and a removable helmet.
Krafts is no stranger to her artistic side, having spent her whole life creating everything from birthday decorations to paintings and beyond. When she discovered Funko POPs it didn’t take her long before she began to apply her creativity to the vinyl figures, most recently through combining various characters with the Sackboy figure. Her customs are created with a variety of materials, starting with her own mix of air dry clay for sculpting, rather than store bought, and a combination of airbrushing, acrylic paints, pastels, and watercolors to create different colored effects on the figure.
The balance between the two characters is flawless, with just enough space between the predator’s tiny skulls and bits of armor to show off the textured sackboy skin, anchoring the vinyl solidly between the two characters. The UV reactive paint makes the POP as fun to look at in the dark as it is in the sun, and the removable helmet, so representative of the predator and his character, gives the figure a little extra oomph. With her expert craftsmanship and attention to detail, Krafts succeeded in creating a custom vinyl that fits without question in either of the original character’s worlds.
