A few weeks ago I made mention that I was like the John Bender of PopVinyls.com ya know that one cool guy that shows up every once in a while, and gives ya some cool stuff, and then leaves like a shadow in the night until the next time he decides to show up. Well, now I’ve hung out with Bender and we were just hanging out against the lockers and as I write this I realize my wife might just be right and I may just have a deep rooted issue… oh what have I done? Just kidding! Lately I’ve been adding myself literally into my photos and hey the responses have been good so either my wife is wrong or you guys are all just as crazy as I am! We can be crazy together! Anyway… Welcome to Thursday Night Highlight and it’s brought to you by the one the only Eddie from Eddie’s Toy Box…. or as you originals may know me as Esbjo_Figs from Instagram! I’m bringing you some of my best photos of the week and giving you a little insight as to why I chose them, and created them. That photo up there? That’s the gimmie and it provided with a good intro story… Let’s get on with the rest!

“Me no like seeing you so sad. Want a cookie? ONE…cookie thought.”

Sadness from the Pop! Disney line Inside Out Series and Cookie Monster from the Pop! Sesame Street line. So currently two of my favorite pops to take pictures of are these two. I just love them! But after doing a review for Cookie Monster for my Youtube channel I placed Cookie Monster down on my night stand and Sadness happened to be there from another photo I had taken earlier on. So the second I saw the two of them standing side by side I knew I had to make something with them….and this was the end result. Cookie Monster wanting to cheer Sadness up by offering her something he holds near and dear to his heart, but also… not wanting to help her that much because he’s only willing to part with one cookie. He is a cookie monster after all. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!  You can see a review for Cookie Monster (and my horrible Cookie Monster impression) here, but be warned In Box Collectors no Pops were harmed in the making of this video, just cookies. –

“It’s time, kid.”

Oliver Queen and Deathstroke: Unmasked (Hot Topic Exclusive) from the Pop! Television line Arrow Series. The second I saw the photo of Deathstroke Unmasked and having watched the entire series of Arrow I knew I had to have him! He’s so awesome looking and I’m normally not fond of unmasked Pops, but this guy takes the cake! Just look at how cool he is! So, when he started popping up at Hot Topic it was only a matter of time before I knew I’d be able to take pictures of him, and the very first one I did was putting him in an alley with Oliver Queen. Who really should be Arrow: Unmasked, but that’s another story for another time. You can see my Deathstroke: Unmasked review here –

“I am Grooooot! Translation: Come at me, bro.”

Angry Groot (Toy Matrix Exclusive) from the Pop! Marvel line Guardians of the Galaxy series, and Rocket Racoon mystery mini. I think this picture pretty much speaks for itself, and if it could speak it’d say “I am Groot” but you’d understand entirely what he was saying based on that awesome sculpt. Popping a Rocket mystery mini on his arm was just an added bonus. I do believe you can still get Angry Groot at Toymatrix.com if you’re inclined to do so. He has the same body mold as the older Groots, but hey that head is awesome. You can see the review for Angry Groot here –
