What the heck. I decided to try the April Arcade Block, from the Nerd Block family of subscription box services. How was it? Let’s take a look.

1. Pac- Man Salt & Pepper Shakers (Pots)

I will admit, these guys are pretty cool, even if they are not exclusive to this box. I will be adding them to my kitchen.

2. Kingdom Hearts T-Shirt (Exclusive)

Personally, I am not a fan of Kingdom Hearts (mainly because I didn’t have a Playstation growing up), but this exclusive design is not that bad.

3. Treasure Chest Zipper Pull (Exclusive)

Yea, I am not feeling this “exclusive”. Do people really use/ collect zipper pulls?

4. Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure Figure

I might be more excited if these figures aren’t going for $5 or less at retail. I don’t know if this is better or worse than the zipper pull.

5. Video Games LIVE Level 4 CD (Exclusive)

I know a bunch of friends who would be stoked getting this CD, as they love video game scores. Not my thing, to be honest. Interesting exclusive, just not in my wheelhouse.

6. Retro Magazine

I will probably read it, but it sort of feels like a throw away addition to the box. Actually, to be honest, most addition to this box seems to be throw away.

Overall, I was not impressed. Arcade Block comes from Canada and they up-charge for larger shirt sizes. So, for the premium charge I paid to get his block, it as not a winner for me. I will be canceling my subscription and not give it another chance. There are plenty of subscription box services that would be more beneficial, and cheaper, than this one.

Did you get the April Arcade Block? What do you think? Let us know.
