With so many different “subscription boxes” out there, PopVinyls.com is trying to review as many as possible. Today I bring you a service from CollectibleGEEK which offers numerous ways to modify your box to be the best possible choice for you. That’s what I love about this company. Your budget might vary and so do their services.

Let’s talk a little about Collectible Geek first. CG is different from the others because you don’t have to subscribe to their service. CG releases single purchase caches on the 1st if the month. Some people like subscriptions though so CollectibleGEEK has instituted a subscription program for their US and Canadian collectors. It is powered by PayPal which makes it super simple to cancel. CG also offers  bulk programs for 3 & 6 month subscriptions with discounts of 5% & 10% respectively. The 3&6 month subscriptions do not auto renew and you can pause these if you don’t like a month’s theme. CollectibleGEEK‘s next theme is going to be INTERGALACTIC and will have both a FUNKO POP! As well as a CG Exclusive FireFly inspired T-Shirt. So to recap pricing, they have the collector’s Cache at $25+$8.50 sh in the USA; +$14.75 Canada (real time USPS rates for everyone else) And The I Want It All Cache: for $65+$15.00 sh in the USA; +$21.25 sh Canada and again real time USPS rates for everyone else.

The cache I’ll be review today will be the “ASSEMBLE” I Want it All Cache which if you haven’t guessed, is wisely timed for this month’s release of Avengers 2: Age of Ultron! It went on sale March 1st and sold out in under 3 days. This cache has fast become CollectibleGEEK‘s most popular box.

The Assemble CACHE: REVIEW

After opening the box, you notice the green and purple is strong! The shirt and awesome plush are both Hulk inspired. My son, as you can see, took an immediately liking to MY Hulk and he was gone from the box in a matter of seconds. I found him later helping my son avoid falling asleep on time. (BAD HULK!) The shirt is durable and bright. Just like the Hulk, you will be noticed in this great shirt.

After removing the shirt and Hulk plush, I got my first glimpse at what else was in this box. One of the accessories is a neat pack of desktop posters based on the Avengers characters as kids. Pretty cool and my daughter will probably snag those.

This box made sure to appreciate as many Avengers as possible. First you will see below Captain America socks and a Thor’s Hammer keychain. They Hammer has already been added to my keys and I will find a perfect day to wear my new socks. I was really happy with those two but wasn’t sure what the Iron Man head was in the metal disc.  Then I realized it was a flash drive and a very cool flash drive at that. It’s 8GB but even cooler is that the eyes glow when you put it in your computer. Wow, so much better than the small capacity flash drive I got in this month’s Loot Crate!

The Funko mystery mini included was from the new series Age of Ultron. Marvel’s first mystery mini series was a disappointment for me. The bobbleheads were poorly designed. For that reason, I hadn’t bought any of the new series. I’m so glad they included one of this series because Funko has really improved the bobbleheads. Vision was my pull and I now want to buy more from this series. Last you’ll see an Avengers lapel pin which is a nice addition.  I’ll see if anybody recognizes what it is at my next staff meeting.

That’s a great box right? So far, I am pleased with the theming and the quality of everything. But wait. This is the “I Want It All’ cache so there’s more. A lot more

pops

Awesome! Under all those other items were four Avengers Pops! Thankfully I haven’t bought these Pops yet. Even if I had, they are some of the best Pops out there and you could easily sell them to recoup your money. Great job, CG!

The Verdict

This cache is an easy yes for me. CollectibleGEEK took their time to compile an outstanding value for fans of the Avengers. Is it worth the $65? Absolutely. The Pops are easily a $40  value.  Add on a shirt which could cost between $15-20, The Hulk plush for a minimum $8, $7 Mystery Mini,  the keychain, flashdrive, and more, I personally feel the value approaches the $80-90 range. subscription/mystery cache. For some $65 would be a big price to pay so it’s nice to know you definitely get your money’s worth.

CollectibleGEEK‘s next theme is going to be INTERGALACTIC and will have both a FUNKO POP! As well as a CG Exclusive FireFly inspired T-Shirt. IT GOES ON SALE MAY 1st so if you want it, you better sign up quickly!
