Last month, we announced that PopVinyls.com and custom artists were coming together to raise money for Toys for Tots. You can read that article HERE but basically we will be auctioning off donated custom Pops in our VK Auction House to raise money for Toys for Tots. We have now finished two rounds of auctions for Toys for Tots and have raised well over $1000 for this great charity. We have one last round of custom auctions beginning Monday December 15th. Today Christmas arrives in Gotham thanks to Claude Rogers III.
When Claude’s custom arrived, I asked him a few questions!
What got you into making custom Pops?
I got into customs to make myself the pops that I felt I couldn’t afford, or to make myself pops that I feel funko would not make.
How long have you been making customs?
Since September
What is the favorite custom you have made?
Some of my favorite customs have to be this, Black Hand (Black Lantern), Saint Walker (Blue Lantern), and Kilowog (Green Lantern).
What was the inspiration for the piece you created for our Pops for Tots auctions?
I wanted to go above and beyond, really wanted to do more than just one custom pop. I wanted to create a scene. I knew from jump that I would be doing a Joker/Santa and Harley/Mrs. Claus, and over time more and more came into the picture until what it is now–a nice hardwood looking floor, Christmas tree with gifts, and Joker and Harley spending Christmas with their little Batman elf!
