Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize…

For today’s review, I wanted to take a look at one of the newest releases in the continuation of the Haunted Mansion series of Pop! Vinyls from Funko. With the Disney attraction celebrating its’ 50th Anniversary of opening at Disneyland in California, there has been a lot of buzz around the anniversary merchandise that a lot of companies are releasing, including Funko. While a bunch of pieces are “semi-exclusive” with releases to Target, Hot Topic, and Box Lunch locations, there are also store exclusives to those three stores, as well as a Disney Park exclusive in a Glow in the Dark Madame Leota Pop! (released last month prior to D23 Expo, and sold out fairly quickly). Once of the Target exclusives I was able to track down so far is the 10″ Pop! Vinyl version of Ezra, one of the three Hitchhiking Ghosts.

The regular 50th Anniversary releases.

Now, while Ezra, along with the two other Hitchhiking Ghosts (Phineas and Gus) and the Hatbox Ghost, have already appeared in Pop! form before this, this is the first 10″ version of any of the Haunted Mansion ghosts. I am assuming that we will get Phineas and Gus sometime down the line… and hopefully a large Hatbox Ghost as well.

Ezra looks great here, and is a solid piece. I loved this sculpt of him in the 3″ scale when he was initially released, but this 10″ scale shows some amazing detail and captures his ghostly charm quite well.

For those interested in adding this piece to your collection, he is available at Target stores nationwide. However, he is a popular piece, so if you are hunting him down, good luck!

I have more of the new Haunted Mansion Pop! Vinyls on their way to me, so keep an eye out for reviews of them when they finally appear.
