Last month, we announced that PopVinyls.com and custom artists were coming together to raise money for Toys for Tots. You can read that article HERE but basically we will be auctioning off donated custom Pops in our VK Auction House to raise money for Toys for Tots. The 2nd round of Pops for Tots Auctions are beginning on Sunday December 7th. Let’s take a look at these adorable Game of Thrones Dragons all decorated for Christmas . These little dragons were graciously donated by artists Pamela Doherty!
After receiving the custom Dragons, I asked Pamela a few questions about them and being a custom artist.
What got you into making custom Pops?
I’ve always had a creative streak in me but seeing other’s work with Pops gave me ideas for my own.
How long have you been making customs?
3 months
What is the favorite custom you have made?
My daughter’s Maka Pop! from Soul Eater. I still don’t like all the flaws but I’m pretty proud of it.
What was the inspiration for the piece you created for our Pops for Tots auctions?
I have far too many GoT Dragons and started painting some. When this came up I thought it was the perfect time for a mischievous dragon, and my daughter suggested a snow/crystal one.
How can people see other customs of yours and commission their own?
I post them on the Funko Trading by Popvinyls.com as I finish them. I don’t think I’m ready to do commissions as I haven’t even tried to sell any yet. Maybe some day soon I will get up the courage to auction one.
