Welcome back to another installment of Custom Spotlight! When I first saw todays custom by Brenda Le I knew instantly I had to spotlight it. It is Illyria one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite shows Angel! We asked Brenda a few questions about her custom. Let’s get started shall we?
Why did you decide to make a custom of Illyria?
“I decided to make Illyria because I loved her character from the show Angel. Fred was always a favorite and it was heartbreaking to see her go but I couldn’t help but enjoy the character of Illyria too. “
How did you come up with the idea for Illyria?
“The idea for the custom came when I saw pictures of Gamora from the toy fair and knew it was the perfect head for her. Sometimes, I’ll run into pops and say to myself “that’s her!” and need to make it happen.”
How long did it take you to complete Illyria?
“It took a couple months of complete if you talk about start to finish but if you want to talk just time spent, I would say a couple hours. The head definitely took the longest.“
