Tomorrow, the highly anticipated remake of the Disney Classic Pete’s Dragon is coming to movie theaters. A couple of weeks back, I took a look at the recently released Elliott Pop! Vinyl, which is, in one simple word, amazing. Today, here is a look at the San Diego Comic Con/ Amazon shared exclusive Elliott & Pete Pop! 2pk.
In this 2pk, we get an invisible version of the Elliott 6″ Super-Size Pop! Vinyl, as well as a 3″ Pete Pop!, both of which are exclusive to this 2pk. This is also currently the only Pete Pop! that we have.
In the original movie, Pete was a runaway orphan hiding out in a small Maine coastal town of Passamaquoddy. I like that Funko got his scruffy, dirty look to him, which he was like in a good portion of the film. Since Elliott is able to go invisible at will in the movie, I appreciate this version of the dragon.
Now if you weren’t able to be at San Diego Comic Con this year, this 2pk exclusive was also available on Amazon.com. It promptly sold out in its’ initial run, but there are some second hand sellers selling them for about double the cost at this time. I have a feeling if you are patient, the price will go down on it and you can get it close to retail. Luckily, I was able to get it from Amazon when it went on sale… it just took a while to get here.
Just like the regular Elliott Pop!, I love this addition to my Disney collection, and I am looking forward to hopefully seeing the remake of Pete’s Dragon this weekend.
