This months GeekFuel subscription box has arrived and here is a run down of all of this month’s geeky bits and pieces. Plus an unboxing July’s GeekFuel box which contains a number of Geeky Goodies including a T-Shirt, Comic Book and much more.
There was plenty of cool things in this months box, so lets run through some of them:
One of the cool items was a excellent custom T-Shirt featuring many iconic geek stars like Batman, a Scout Trooper from Star Wars and Link, all taking part in a Tour De France, sorry Geek race. I thought this T-Shirt had a cool design on it and also I thought the green and yellow represents the actual event pretty well.
For me one of the highlights was the special variant GeekFuel exclusive cover for the Secret Wars Civil War #1 comic book featuring Captain America and Iron Man battling it out in a brand new story following the events of the Secret Wars. I do love it when subscription boxes put comic books into their boxes, its a great bonus and adds lots of value to a box in my eyes. This new Civil War story is different to the classic story which is being released as a movie in 2016. Certainly the highlight of this months box.
Also included in this months box is a copy of Burnstar on Steam, which is a PC game plus some candy stars (I’ll admit, I didn’t think they were candy at first). Haven’t got around to playing this game out yet but looking at some of the reviews and videos for this game, it looks a bit like Bomberman and has got a very healthy review on many gaming sites.
An unofficial Ant-Man themed shot glass is included in here, so if downing shots is your thing, you can pretend to be Ant-Man having a pint!
GeekFuel also include their own magazine featuring a few special stories and some notes about this months box.
Overall, July’s box was a bit of fun with a good custom T-Shirt that features many different franchises (I’ve just been playing Batman: Arkham Knight for the past month, so getting some Batman items was pretty nice). But my highlight was the Civil War Secret Wars #1 Comic, it was a really interesting read and now I’m intrigued to know where the story is going.
