Hello fellow humans! I’m here writing to you so that means only one thing… it’s Thursday, Thursday, gotta get down on Thursday. Everybody’s looking forward to the Highlight. No? I think a will living in the world of the Walking Dead would be a great idea at any age. Never know when a walker is going to come up and bite you in the arm when you’re staring at photos of a family you didn’t know. Still stings. Anyway let’s get on with the photos. Hot Topic Exclusive Savage Hulk (#68) from the Pop! Marvel line. Okay so here’s what we can gather about the Hulk and this variant. Scarlett Witch is shown in the trailer for Age of Ultron using her powers against Black Widow. There’s gotta be a point in the movie where Scarlett Witch gets her hands on Hulk and turns him against the rest of the Avengers. So, since for some reason Funko didn’t create Hulk as a 6 inch Pop and he more or less is to scale with the rest of the Avengers in the series I thought it’d be a good idea to bust out the Disney Infinity Avengers and line them up to go toe to toe… to toe to toe with the big guy. “It’s Coronation Day!”
Coronation Anna (#119) from the Pop! Disney line. I’ll admit last year I sat around and thought how awesome it would be if Funko made Frozen Pops. Then a few months later it was announced and at SDCC we got three Frozen variants. The rest is history. Now here we are with wave 2 of the Frozen series and the first from the set that I got was Coronation Anna. I took a simple background from the movie where she strolls through singing with Hans and put the Pop in it. Here’s my gripe. Where is our Hans Pop? I think I speak for everyone when I say we love Olaf, we love the different variants of Anna, and Elsa, but really in the next series can we cut back on these guys and maybe give us a Hans?! Or “Yoo hoo… big Summer blow out!” Oaken!? If they do make an Oaken he’d have to be 6 inches right? But something tells me we’ll get Sven with the carrot sticking out of his mouth before then. Or maybe Frozen Fever based ones.
“Why are you guys hanging off the Earth like bats?”
Hot Topic Exclusive Upside Down Olaf (#122) from the Pop! Disney series. I tried to recreate the scene from the movie with this Pop. Some don’t remember and others question why he doesn’t have his nose for this Pop, but trust me this is accurate. This occurs when Olaf first meets Anna, Sven, and other Sven. Anna is taken back by a talking snowman and knocks his head upside down. At this point he doesn’t have the carrot for a nose. Some might be dissatisfied with this pop as it’s just the regular Olaf with an upside down head…. to those I say this. What could they honestly have done different with it? Seriously. If you’re a fan of Frozen and I’m going to go out on a limb and say the vast majority are then you’ll love this Pop. I love Frozen. Saw Frozen on Ice and loved that too. With summer on the horizon I’ll be glad to see what Frozen things do in summer.
