To celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary last year, Funko teamed up with Disney Parks to bring a slew of Funko collectibles to market. From regular Pop! Vinyls and Pop! Rides to Pop! Deluxe and Pop! Town… some might say there have been TOO many releases for WDW’s 50th. I, however, am not one of the some. Being a big fan of the Disney Parks, I LOVE all of the releases that have come out… even if my wallet hasn’t. All told, the pieces I am looking at today would rank up there as one of my recent favorites. It features one of my favorite Disney Characters riding an iconic classic attraction. Here is Goofy at the Dumbo the Flying Elephant Attraction.
In this Pop! Ride, Goofy is riding one of the Dumbo attraction vehicles, which is colored blue. In the spinner attraction (the ONLY attraction located at each of the six Disney “castle” parks worldwide), each Dumbo ride vehicle has a different color outfit. I could easily see more of this series being made (similar to the Mad Tea Party Attraction Pop! Deluxe pieces) with different Dumbo outfit colors and other Disney characters.
This really is a beautiful piece and sculpt. I’m excited that it’s part of my collection. If you want to add it to your collection, you can get it over at Entertainment Earth along with some other fun Goofy products.
