As some of you might know, one of my vast collections is Monopoly. I have lost count of how many versions I have collected over the years, but there are many. I am not sure exactly what got me into collecting them growing up, but I do remember many a night playing our family’s well-worn copy of the game, using random “tokens” for ones we lost and buying up properties that had bent up and torn deed cards. Even after we got new versions, we mainly stuck to that copy as to not screw up the others in the same fashion. To this date, most of the versions I own are still sealed.

Funko has teamed up with Hasbro and others to create the Retro Toys line. Included in the lineup is Mr. Monopoly, brought over from the Board Games line. Since he is the main character in the board game, he is featured quite a bit. Therefore, it isn’t surprising that there are many Pop! Vinyls of him. One of the more humerous versions of Mr. Monopoly in the game is when he is on a Community Chest card, winning Second Prize in the Beauty Contest. Last year, Funko released a Pop! version through their Funko Shop.

I have always found this Community Chest card fun, so when I saw this Pop! Vinyl being released, I definitely wanted to add it to my collection. I did pick it up last year, but just got around to checking it out. Whoops.

Who doesn’t love an old man in a top hat and tails wearing a sash and carrying flowers? I’ll wait…

Do not pass GO, do not collect $100… but add this Pop! Vinyl to your collection. While it is no longer available for purchase, you can easily find him on the secondary market if you want to add him to your collection.
