For today’s review, I check out one of the Pop! Town releases for Disney Parks. Celebrating Disneyland’s 65th Anniversary, and accompanied with Mickey Mouse in his Mickey Mouse Club attire, here is Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle is the park icon for Disneyland, which opened July 17, 1955 in Anaheim, CA. This is the only Disney Castle that Walt Disney personally oversaw construction of. The design is based off the real life Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany. Although these days the Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is used as the main icon for The Walt Disney Company, for a while the Sleeping Beauty Castle was also used as an icon for the company.

Accompanying the Sleeping Beauty Castle in this Pop! Town released is Mickey Mouse, decked out in his band outfit from the original Mickey Mouse Club TV series.
