Today, I take a look at a Funko Pop! Vinyl that was released in celebration of the opening of the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge land in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Featuring a character prominent in the Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, here is Hondo Ohnaka.
I was unfamiliar with the character prior to him being added to the Disney Parks lore, but apparently Hondo Ohnaka appeared in both The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Both of these series I have yet to fully watch, but I intend to now that they are on Disney+. At the Disney Parks, Hondo appears as an animatronic figure in the queue for the ride, voiced by the brilliant Disney voice actor Jim Cummings (who also voiced the character in the TV series).
Hondo marks the second Pop! Vinyl to be released as a Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge exclusive, following fan-favorite DJ-R3X.
