For today’s review, I take a look at the Disney Parks’ Exclusive Jolly Roger Dorbz Ride. Featuring the Jolly Roger character, a pirate skeleton part of The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the parks, this limited edition collectible was released earlier this year at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

Note: I had the opportunity to grab myself one of these Dorbz Ridez during a trip down to Walt Disney World at the end of April. I am not sure if there are any still down there now, but they had plenty around both Pirates Bazaar (Adventureland, Magic Kingdom) and Pin Trades (Disney Springs) when I was there.

Let’s take a closer look.

While the actual Jolly Roger Dorbz looks to be a new, unique mold (if I am mistaken, please let me know), but the ship is the same as the Wicked Wench ship that came with the Pirate Captain in the Dorbz Ride collectible in the Disney Treasures Pirates Cove subscription box. It would have been nice if it was at least a repaint, but we were not that lucky.

Love the Pop! Skull & Crossbones!

Overall, this is not necessarily a “must have” for a Disney collector, unless you are hardcore or a fan of the attraction. The Wicked Wench version of this Ridez is quite affordable on the secondary market, if you just are worried about the ship component. Only reason it is in my collection is because it was in stock when I was at WDW, and I got my Annual Passholder discount on it. If it was sold out, I would not have searched on the secondary market.

That being said, it is a fun piece, even though Funko “half-assed” it imho.

Were you able to add this Dorbz Ride to your Funko or Disney collection? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Let me know in the comments below.
