Flashback Friday – Hulk (Busting out of Hulkbuster)

Welcome to Flashback Friday where I discuss pops from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Anything pop related to the MCU is up for discussion including films and television series. Let’s jump right in with this week’s discussion. Hulk from the Avengers: Infinity War set is this week’s featured MCU Pop.

Discussion: Avengers: Infinity War was released worldwide just over one month ago breaking many records along the way. It Hulk smashed its way to the largest domestic opening weekend of all time shattering the previous record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Avoiding spoilers as much as possible but the Pop itself kind of spoils that Bruce Banner is inside Tony’s Hulkbuster armor. During the final battle in Wakanda things are getting dire for our heroes and there’s a big showdown between the Hulkbuster and Cull Obsidian. You can probably surmise that the Hulkbuster armor gets partially destroyed. I won’t go into all of details but let’s just say that this Pop looks amazing! In my opinion this is easily the best designed Pop in the entire set so far. The detail work on the suit is just phenomenal and I hope they continue that moving forward.

Hulk busting out of the Hulkbuster armor is a fantastic Pop. I bet you’re asking yourself where the heck I can get one. The short answer is GameStop because it’s an exclusive to that store. Unfortunately, this Pop is a hot seller and a hot collectible and all of the GameStop’s I’ve been to have been sold out for a while. Doing a check on eBay shows us that most of the sold listings fall into the $30.00 to $40.00 range. There are a few that sold for over $50.00 and a couple that sold around $20.00. You’re definitely looking at that mid-range but I expect it to increase because it’s such a fantastic piece. I’m definitely going to try and add one to my collection if I can ever find one in the stores. Getting this one and the Hulkbuster suit and displaying them side by side is my goal.
