As Christmas approaches, it’s time, once again, to break out the holiday movies. One of my favorite is the original animated classics Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Narrated by Boris Karloff and featuring Thurl Ravenscroft as the voice behind “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, this cartoon short is easily one of the most popular with families during the holiday season. When Funko announced that they would be releasing products this holiday season based off the cartoon (and thankfully NOT after the live action remake starring Jim Carrey), I knew I would be picking them up for my extensive Christmas collection. Today, I will be taking a closer look at one of those pieces, the Dorbz Ride featuring the Grinch, Max, and their Sleigh.

Based on on of the final scenes from the cartoon (and the book), the Dorbz Ride features the now full sleigh as it it brought to the top of Mount Crumpit by Max (how a small dog could pull a sleigh full of Christmas gifts and decorations up a tall mountain is mind-boggling), while the Grinch navigates in the driver’s seat.

This ride features a removable Grinch, but sadly Max himself is attached to the Ride. I would have appreciated him being removable as well.

Aside from the fact that Max is attached to the sleigh, this is a very fun piece and a perfect addition to the Christmas collection. Happy to have been able to find this in stores (I found mine at Hot Topic), as I know some friends who had a hard time tracking him down when he was first released.

In addition to the Dorbz Ride, Funko has also released a set of Pop! Vinyls, which includes The Grinch (with Chase), Max, and a few retailer exclusives. Check them out!

Did you pick up this Dorbz Ride, or did you choose rather the “seasick crocodile”? Let us know your thoughts on this item below.
