Lucille is thirsty… for another edition of Thursday Night Highlight! And this isn’t just an ordinary TNH, oh no… we’re celebrating the second year anniversary of this column right here on PopVinyls.com! Thank you so much for allowing me to entertain you guys for the last two years. Sometimes it was few and far in between, but hey… we’re here now! The Highlight is brought to you as always by yours truly, Eddie from Eddie’s Toy Box (Now the name across all social media platforms from Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter! Links below this article). It’s a column where I showcase some of my favorite photos of the week and give you guys a little bit on why I created the photos. This week we’re focusing on the Walking Dead, because after that season premiere how could we focus on anything else? Negan has arrived with his vampire bat Lucille and she’s thirsty. We won’t dive into spoilers, but boy… what an emotional hour of television, but let’s get on with the photos!
“The Winchester Boys.”
Dean Winchester, Negan, and Sam Winchester.
So, some of you may recognize Negan as the man who plays him… Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Well, Mr. Morgan has had a few other noticeable roles, and for me John Winchester is a huge one. “Dad’s on a hunting trip.” that line right there would set off Supernatural and eleven years later it’s still on TV. (Is it eleven or twelve? I lose count.). So here’s Daddy Winchester and his baby boys. Since I took this photo at the beginning of the week the actors that play Dean, and Negan have exchanged tweets about Lucille, and in character mind you. It’s great! Fandoms unite!
Morgan and Carol.
The headline for this photo was something like “Don’t worry these two will be back this week to cut the momentum of the season premiere.” or something to that effect. And it’s true. I’m not trying to hate on Morgan and Carol, trust me, at one point Carol was the best! Then her character took a turn when she started to be remorseful for her actions. Now it’s looking like next week we’re going to be spending an hour with Morgan and Carol as Carol recovers from her wounds from the season finale. Don’t get me wrong that should be interesting, but no way it lives up to the hype the premiere had. So momentum will be stalled at least just for a little while so we can catch up with this dynamic duo.
“Let’s be friends.”
Negan, Behemoth, and Rick Grimes.
Alright so this one can be considered a spoiler just by the quote in the photo, and the name of the photo itself. But if you haven’t watched the season premiere of the Walking Dead in the last four days then I don’t know where you’ve been! At one point Negan and Rick go on a buddy road trip and Negan loses his ax and asks Rick to go and get it for him. Well, in my crossover mash-up he’s lost his ax in the skull of the Behemoth from Nightmare Before Christmas. A simple photo I tried to capture quickly in the rain and here we are! Go get my ax, Rick. Let’s be friends. Bunny!
