You know that exhilarating feeling you get when you finally find that one figure you need to complete a set? The excitement of finally having assembled all the Avengers or whatever your particular passion may be is a beautiful thing. If the pieces of the set you’re trying to complete have been vaulted, it’s even more of a challenge and ultimately a bigger victory when you finish.

On the other hand, do you know that feeling you get when you’ve got a complete set of something and then you go to PopVinyls.com and discover that Funko is releasing new characters in the same line as your set? The feeling is mostly delight, but there can be a sudden realization that now the set you worked so hard to complete is now, in fact, incomplete. Most of the time, the addition of new figures to a line isn’t the end of the world and you can find them at your local hobby shop. However, things can get problematic if one of those figures is an exclusive or, even crazier, a limited edition. We saw it just last week at New York Comic Con with the arrival of Qui Gon Jinn. Only 2000 Star Wars fans will be able to complete their galaxy far, far, away set. Unfair? Maybe, but what can you do?
