Wedding bells are ringing, choirs are singing, and two Hylians embark on another quest to fight for good against evil in the land of Hyrule. This Link and Zelda duo, created by Bethany Norris, are off to fight the good fight. Against hunger, that is. From the princesses golden crown to the sharply carved edges of Link’s sword, this duo is ready for its frosted debut.
Bethany embarked on her custom vinyl journey with Disney’s Vinylmations line before deciding to try something new with Pop! Vinyls. Since getting hooked on the adorable figures, she’s created custom figures of everything from SNL characters to music icons to comic book characters and beyond.
Some of these creations are made with a little extra heart, though, when created in the form of a pair of wedding cake toppers. Whether the duo depict a favorite fandom, the real life couple, or a mix of the two, they’re a perfect portrayal of some of the things that the couple hold dear in their hearts. In this particular case, Link and Zelda hold the heart-shaped key.
These beautifully crafted figures were sculpted using a mix of clays and existing molds that were close to how Bethany envisioned the final product to be. The smooth lines, tiny painted symbols, and the stunningly simple designs are so well put together they look effortless, but the more you look at the figures the more details pop out. Together, they’re a beautiful, fun symbol of a couple’s wedding day. Here’s to the health of the couple, their love, and Hyrule!
