Series 2 Plushies Set for October Release
2016 has been a good year to fans of the indie point-and-click classic, Five Night’s at Freddy’s. Funko obtained the license and granted us an unprecedented amount of merchandise recently. These included pens, action figures, Mystery Minis, and various other items. Additionally, a fifth game in the main series, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, gets a release next month. Future projects have also been announced, including an upcoming film adaptation. Like I said, it’s a good time to be a fan.
For the uninitiated, the survivalist horror game franchise places you in the seat of a security officer at a children’s themed restaurant complete with animatronics. Filled with mystery and dynamic plot twists, the game radically differentiates itself from others by emphasizing complex plot and simplistic gameplay over simplistic plot and complex gameplay. It may sound odd, but it works, as legions of fans with attest. If you have some free time, I strongly recommend you give it a shot.
But, for those already hooked on the series and looking to express their fandom at home, Funko has given us another wave of merchandise including a series 2 set of plushies.
For the upcoming plushies series 2, Funko chose to stick primarily with the second game. This set includes Withered Freddy, Withered Foxy, The Puppet, Toy Chica, and Toy Chica’s Cupcake. Springtrap, the main villain from the third game, joins the party to give the release the usual six set.
Last time, these sold out pretty quick, so you might want to keep your eyes peeled at your local store… or just preorder them online now. For series 1, Hot Topic, Gamestop, and Wal-Mart all had impossible to find exclusives. No such announcement for series 2 yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
