Hitting stores as I write this, the Suicide Squad dorbz debut is upon us! I thought it fitting to cover them while they are hitting shelves. Let’s dive in and see what Funko is offering us thus far! Please vote below for who else Funko should make into a dorbz from the team!
The Joker starts us out. A dorbz version of the common pop from the Suicide Squad line, he is seen with his slick green hair, body art, purple glove, and Arkham sweatpants. A simple figure, sure, but really, really cute. I’m a little disappointed that his arms aren’t spread wide like the pop, but dorbz arms seem to be pretty standard so I can’t fault them for that. I will definitely pick this up when I see it.
Of course, where the Joker goes, Harley Quinn follows. This dorbz is insane. So cool. Armed with a baseball bat, Harley’s pig tails are dyed, eyes are made up, and her outfit is color coated to die for! A+ for how this one turned out. I grabbed her as soon as I saw her!
I have to admit, I like this dorbz more than I thought I would. I have mixed feelings about Will Smith’s incarnation of Deadshot from what I’ve seen in the trailers so far, because I LOVE Deadshot from the modern SS comics and Arrow, but regardless of how Will Smith does in the role, this dorbz is cool. I didn’t think his suit detailing would show on a dorbz this well, but it really does. His eye piece looks fantastic and overall, this dorbz is just really well designed. I expect an unmasked exclusive, or even chase a la Black Panther, but this one will do for now!
Finally, Enchantress rounds out our dorbz selection. I find this surprising because her pop is still shrouded in so much mystery that I didn’t think she would be one of the first four dorbz made, but she looks great – even better than the pop to me! Her crescent moon headpiece is awesome, her suit is super cool, and her hair detailing is on point. Really, really great sculpting job here.
Lastly, we have the first dorbz exclusive announced for Suicide Squad – Gown Harley. She will be available at Gamestop upon release. She looks great. I love how the gown looks in dorbz form. Really cute and elegant at the same time. Gotta preorder this one!
Which dorbz is your favorite from this line? Who do you hope is made into a dorbz? I doubt this is the last of dorbz we will see from this movie. As for me, I am hoping for my favorite character, El Diablo, to be made into a dorbz piece. I think he would look awesome! Expand the line, Funko!
