Hey everyone! Happy Friday! You’ve made it to the end of another week! And you’ve made it to another edition of The Highlight brought to you as always by yours truly Eddie from Eddie’s Toy Box, or @Esbjo_Figs from Instagram! The Highlight brings you some of my best photos of the week and a little insight as to why I created each one. That photo up top? That’s the freebie! Well, technically each one is free, but because I don’t have a header I like to include a runner up photo. Sesame Street Pops are some of my absolute favorite Pops out there. The details on them are incredible and they just look awesome so why not have Big Bird and Elmo in the heart of Sesame Street giving the people a wave! Let’s get on with the rest of the photos!

Davy Jones. Giant Squid. Hank. Giant Octopus… or rather made to seem larger so that it fits the purpose of the picture. Hank is taking the place of the legendary Kraken that Davy Jones summons to take care of all of his enemies on the high sea, but being that this is a Disney flick Hank and Davy have been re-imagined as a buddy comedy. I used one of my kids Imaginext Pirate ships and tried to incorporate Hank’s tentacles around it to look as if Hank was rising out of the ocean to join his bud Davy on deck. I absolutely loved the POTC series (movie wise) and I loved the way this photo came out.

Tale as old as time. Beauty and the Beast. Or Harley and Mistah J. Harley Quinn loves her Puddin and the Joker is crazy for… well he’s simply crazy. The Suicide Squad will hit theaters this summer and we can see their love play out on the big screen, but for now we’ll go with some Pop! inspired photos to hold us over. Harley Quinn may love the Joker more than the Joker loves her, and because of that she may also view how the world sees them as jealous. The old saying goes that people are jealous because “we’re young and in love”, but with these two? Crazy is the only word to describe what they’ve got.

I knew once I had my hands on the inmate Harley Quinn that I had to do some mash-up photos. Since my wife and I have been binge watching Orange is the New Black this was one of the first photos that came to mind. What would happen if Harley Quinn made her way to Litchfield? Would she be upset to be in an all women prison? Would she quickly rise to power? And would she willingly put on the orange jumpsuit? Probably not that last one. But I bet she’d give ol’ Mendez a run for his money. That faded coloring in her hair would probably drive her to the brink of insanity though.
