This week is all about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! So it’s only fitting that a pop countdown be constructed to crown the best of the line! Let’s get right to it, folks!
#7. Superman Soldier
In at the bottom this time around, we have the Superman Soldier. Unfortunately, this really amazing pop is being overshadowed by the DC fanboy’s love for the heroes! LOL All Batman love aside, this pop really is perfect. Sculpted to perfection and decked out in detail, it became one of my favorites of the line. Especially the Superman logo on the shoulders.
#6. Batman
Shocked to find Batman so low? Eh, it’s only because there are three different versions to choose from! Posed to Batfleck perfection and ready to toss his bat-a-rang, this is an awesome Batman pop, and my personal favorite Batman in this line, but fans like the variants a whole lot more!
#5. Superman
Next we have Superman. The only Superman version in the line (when there should be a Clark Kent), this pop is so cool. The action posing that Funko introduced with this figure has quickly made these kinds of pops my absolute favorite. Not only is he punching, but he’s flying – to me, this can’t be beat. Fans, however, got more excited by the likeness of the next few pops to their characters!
#4. Knightmare Batman
Next up is Knightmare Batman. Fans particularly pointed out that they liked the uniqueness of this pop. Since there are so many Batman pops in Funko’s history, new ones need to stand out and this one definitely does. Donned with mud splattered on the sides and goggles for days, this Batman pop does not disappoint. Matthew Stadtfeld wrote, “I am really enjoying the Knightmare Batman!”
#3. Aquaman
Arguably the pop that bears the most likeness to the actor portraying the character, Aquaman lands at number three. I love the detail in this pop. From the hair to the tattoos, the trident, the golden detailing, everything is perfect. Love, love, love.
#2. Armored Batman
The final Batman in the line lands at number two. I suspect since this is a new Batman suit making DC fans explode, it’s only fitting that it’s their favorite. I love the pop too, essentially a robotic Batman come to life that our Superman pops can fight! Battle on, Batman.
#1. Wonder Woman
Apparently, the queen reigns supreme. The only female character in the line, debuting a new Wonder Woman suit to boot, was too much for pop fans to handle. Winning by a landslide, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman slayed both on film and in pop form. Slightly metallic, embellished with detailing, this pop is simply badass. A+ Funko!
Do you agree with our countdown? Which pop is your favorite? Mine is Superman, but alas, the fans want what they want! Who should be in the wave 2 that was announced in Funko’s Q&A last night? I’m fighting for Lex’s inclusion! Heave ho!
