Oh no! Scarlet Witch is on the side of Team Iron Man and she’s on Team Cap in the trailers! The humanity! The absolute outrage! There. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way how’s everyone doing on this awesome Friday afternoon (where I am anyway…)!? Welcome to another edition of The Highlight, or the artist formerly known as Thursday Night Highlight brought to you as always by Eddie from Eddie’s Toy Box (Over on Youtube!) or… the artist formerly known as, or still currently known as Esbjo_Figs (Over on Instagram!) better never change my name to a symbol. It’s a weekly (when I post it ya jokers) column of my favorite shots of the week that I originally posted over on my Instagram page. And this week we’re doing a Marvel’s Captain America Civil War feature now that these Pops have been released to the world! So, take a look at the shots and let me know who’s side you’re on! The photo up there? It’s the gimmie and boy did it create quite the stir. We live in an age where peeps can’t enjoy a photo just to enjoy it. Like in High School. You enjoy the frogs when they’re alive and hopping not dissect every last aspect of it… maybe that’s not the best comparison, but hopefully you got it!
“Scarlet Witch.”
Scarlet Witch was at the center of the controversy surrounding my Throne picture! So I decided to give her the solo spotlight. Yes. She’s on Team Cap. Yes. She should be on that side in the photo, but in my defense she was originally on Team Ultron. Sure she realized he wanted to destroy the world and defected to the Avengers, but what if something happens where she realizes Captain America is wrong and she goes over to Team Ironman? Considering no one has seen the movie yet what if in the end the picture I originally posted was right! Huh! Never know! I mean granted it probably isn’t, but how sweet would it be if it is? Man… I’d talk about it for days.
“I’ve got your back, Cap.”
Winter Soldier and Captain America take the center stage here. The best of friends and their friendship seems to be the reason that the Avengers are going to be at odds come May. Winter Soldier needs to answer for the crimes he committed in Captain America 2, but ya know… he doesn’t want to? I don’t know. That seems to be the basics of the movie. Captain America going to war for his friend. A modern day Buzz and Woody story with Iron Man playing the role of Al from Al’s Toy Barn. But that would make Winter Solider Woody and Captain America Buzz… I don’t know I lost what I was going for somewhere in there, but you get the idea!
“Tag Team. Back Again.”
Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody. Captain America and Winter Soldier. And now we have Iron Man and War Machine. The best of friends, right! Well, it wasn’t fair to these guys to focus on Cap and Soldier if I was going to to do a shot of the two of them too. It’ll be interesting to see how everything plays out when the movie finally comes out, but it seems for the most part War Machine has had a difference of opinion with old Tony over there. So that’s the reason for this picture. Just two buddies getting along in iron suits. Typical Friday.
