Last night, we brought you the news of more lines coming to Funko. Today I wanted to talk about a few of them and daydream on what I would like to see! First up is an American classic: Scooby Doo.
Scooby Doo
Mariotti announced that not only would we get Pop! Vinyls from Scooby Doo, but also Pop! Rides, Dorbz and Dorbz Rides. Obviously, Scooby Doo is getting the big push here. So who and what do I want to see? Obviously, Fred, Velma, Scooby Doo, Shaggy and Daphne should be in the Pops and Dorbz line. I’d also love to see a Flocked Scooby as an exclusive somewhere. As for Rides, it’s obvious that we’re getting the Mystery Machine but in what manner? I’d love it if the back doors open and you could fit a Pop inside. Rather or not that is feasible I’m not sure. I’d prefer that than the Pop! riding on top but I’ll take it either way. How about a GITD or metallic exclusive Mystery Machine as well? Just look at the color scheme? It screams GITD variant to me.
As for Dorbz, I’m sure we’ll get the same lineup and a Dorbz ride will be neat as well. Now I’m assuming Fred will come with the Mystery Machine.
Besides the core gang, the most obvious other characters are Scrappy (ugh), the Harlem Globetrotters (highly doubtful due to additional licensing) and random ghosts/monsters. For once, I’m content with just the main cast but I’m sure somebody out there actually likes Scrappy.
