Today we take a look at the July “Heroes 2” crate from Loot Crate, their first ever “sequel crate”. I, for one, think it’s one of their strongest crates from them in a while. Let’s check it out.
1. Wonder Woman Poster (DC Collectibles)
This really cool mini-poster, in the World War II “Bomber” art-style, shows Wonder Woman at her finest. Would love to get her statue version of this design.
2. Legend of Zelda Sweatband (Bioshock)
Really? And Loot Crate highlighted this wearable in the promo of this crate? By far the worst part of this month’s crate.
3. Batman Multi-Tool Keychain
This is pretty cool… though I don’t know if it would be safe in my pocket.
4. Loot Crate Exclusive- The League of Regrettable Superheroes
Rainbow Boy… Fatman… Thunderbunny… looking forward to reading up on these unknown superheroes in this exclusive hardcover book.
5. Loot Crate Exclusive- TV Series Batman Q-Pop Figure (Quantum Mechanix)
Highlight of this crate was this exclusive Batman character Q-Pop figure. I first saw he Q-Pop series at Toy Fair, and I am looking forward to starting my collection with this TV Batman.
6. Loot Crate Exclusive- Brawlhalla Download Card (Blue Mammoth Games)
Exclusive unlocks for an already free game… might be enough for me to try it out.
7. Star Trek Auto Air Freshener
Yay! I needed a new air freshener.
Also a fun feature is the box itself, which opens up forming a diorama for the Batman figure.
Overall thoughts: Like I said in the beginning, this month’s crate is heads above the previous two-three months’ offerings. It is refreshing to see, what I feel, is a strong box. Will everyone like it? No, simply because of the theme. However, that’s a great thing about Loot Crates… each month is different, whether it hits you in your geek zone or not.
Why am I excited about upcoming Loot Crates? This.
I do not want to miss out on the exclusive Pop! Vinyls, mainly because the two they have had so far, GITD Groot and Joker Batman, were pretty awesome. Even the special edition “Cosmic” Crate at SDCC with the Stormtrooper Hikari was great. Do I know when they are coming? No… but I hope soon.
