As some of you know, I have been getting the Geek Fuel subscription box basically since their first month back in late 2014. However, this May box has probably been one of the best ones to date, with the inclusion of Marvel, Star Wars, Plants vs. Zombies, and Doctor Who. Let’s check it out.
1. Exclusive T-Shirt: Doctor Who- Weeping Angels Don’t Blink Tour
Love, love, love this exclusive Doctor Who inspired t-shirt. Included with the shirt is a ticket stub from the “Don’t Blink Tour” in which there will be a contest in June, where a lucky ticket holder can win a Doctor Who prize pack. Pretty sweet.
2. Exclusive: Square Heroes Downloadable Game Code & Tattoo Sheet
In their continuing tradition of downloadable online Steam game codes packed in with an exclusive collectible, this month we have Square Heroes (a $10 value) with a temporary Tattoo Sheet. Looks like it could be a fun game… perhaps I will try it out.
3. Limited Edition “The Force” Poster
I am really digging this mini poster by Terribly Odd, featuring Yoda in this limited edition Star Wars poster. Trying to decide where in the apartment or at work this will go. Geek Fuel has had a few posters in their boxes over the past six months, and they have all been fun.
4. Limited Edition “Secret Wars Issue #1” Comic Book (w/ COA)
I am not necessarily a collector of variant comic books, but an LE of 15,000 with a COA is pretty cool. Heard from a friend in the comic book community it’s worth roughly $15. Score!
5. Limited Edition Plants vs. Zombies Enamel Pins
Pretty well designed, and hefty, enamel pins from PopCap and Plants vs. Zombies. Each box got you four pins. I didn’t get any of the rarer ones, but I like the selection I got, especially the cherries.
6. Geek Fuel Slap Koozie
When I first pulled this out of the box, I thought it was a mousepad of some sort… but’s it’s a slap koozie. I am not one to drink, but this is a pretty fun thing to have when you are enjoying a drink with your friends while gaming. Fun addition to this month’s box.
Thinking about subscribing to Geek Fuel? <—- Click on this link to join. They have been really knocking them out of the park as of late. For the price point, they are, in my opinion, giving Loot Crate a run for their money.
