This summer we will see Funko ramp-up their Mystery Mini line. The recent release of Disney Heroes vs. Villains and Blizzard’s Heroes of The Storm, have kicked-off, what should be an awesome start to the warm weather collecting season. Other sets that are in the wings are Pixar’s Inside-Out, Garbage Pail Kids, Minions Movie, Supernatural, among other series 2 editions of some popular titles. With all of these releases coming out, it would be interesting to see what TV Series/Movie you would have made into Mystery Minis.
I personally think a Smallville set would be incredible, and with the DC License, as well as the fact that Supernatural has an upcoming release (They were both on the same network) I don’t see any reason why a Smallville run is out of the question.
First, and most obviously would be the iterations of Clark Kent. The variants could be as simple as Clark on red kryptonite, The Blur (Black Jacket Variant), The Blur (Red Jacket Variant) and full Superman Suit. With the fact that the Justice League was introduced through the show, it would be nice to finally see a Green Arrow Mini, as well as the countless others, including but not limited to: Kara Zor-el, Impulse, Cyborg, Dr. Fate, Hawkman, Canary, Lex Luthor, and Zod. The series was 10 seasons long, and with everything that was introduced in that time span, we could see some awesome origin minis.
