Hey everybody! Welcome to another edition of Thursday Night Highlight! It’s being brought to you as always by yours truly @Esbjo_Figs (From Instagram!) or more recently known as Eddie’s Toy Box (From Youtube!). Anyway this is a place for me to showcase some of my favorite shots of the week… and they actually are my own shots….so I guess you could say it’s my way of patting myself on the back, but that’s neither here nor there! Maybe in the future we can incorporate some of your shots to the column. Make it fan friendly… who knows…. Do I even have any fans? God… I hope so. Anyway that photo up there? It’s the answer to the question I was asked over the week. “What are your favorite 5 Pops?” it’s the latest trend hitting the internet… or rather it has been for some time and asking me to pick five favorites just doesn’t seem right. My Pops are like my babies… how could I choose? Well… I did, and there they are! Headless Hershel, Tom Brady, Thanos, Captain America, and my custom of Michael Buble. Now let’s turn the tables and ask you… What are your favorite 5 Pops? I’ll let you think about it while we get to the photos!
“The Big Three.”
Eugene (HT Exclusive 1/12), Abraham (1/24 common), and Rosita (HT Exclusive 1/72) from series 3 of the Walking Dead Mystery Minis line. Well would you look at that I finally got Abraham! For the past few weeks I’ve had five Eugenes, and one Rosita, but never pulled ol’ Abe. Well, thanks to an awesome seller I was able to obtain him and what did I do when my wife suggested a family walk around the park? I brought some minis along for the ride! This shot was taken near the pond inside of the park and I thought the backdrop was perfect. Not too clean, not too ravaged. Just enough to set the tone of the photo. This is also the reason why I’ll never swear off mystery minis completely. Because I love photographing them and they are easier to lug around then Pops. So what if I have a drawer full of them that taunt me every time I open it… I’m the human here they don’t control me!

Grey Worm and Daenerys Targaryen from the Pop! Game of Thrones line. I went a little Hot Topic Pop crazy this past week, but with the coupons and store credit, and the BOGO 50% off (don’t get me started on that recent controversy) they were practically giving me Pops! So I was able to grab Grey Worm from Edition 5 of the GoT series. Just in time for the season premiere this Sunday too! My kids have their own playground in our backyard with red mulch… well, it’s also near the sandbox so this picture was actually taken right in my backyard (like most of my photos) but with a certain angle of the phone, and proper cropping you’d never know it. “That’s a tripping hazard, Gus Gus!”
Gus Gus in Slipper from the Pop! Disney line. Also a Hot Topic Exclusive. So, unless you live under a rock you’ve seen Gus Gus popping up over on Instagram and Facebook as Hot Topic’s have been starting to get him in. Well, it didn’t take long for him to hit my neck of the woods which means only one thing. Gus Gus is readily available and you should never pay astronomical prices for him. Astronomical? Is that a candidate for the biggest word I’ve used on this column? Just might be! Anyway I didn’t know what I wanted to do with this Pop, and well… slipper… so the only thing that really came to mind was recreating the scene from Cinderella where she lost her slipper on the steps thus leading to Prince Charming setting on his quest of having random women try on a random slipper and no that’s not creepy at all! So yeah… I bought this Pop. I’m not even ashamed of it. I don’t even care that the slipper is super pretty and the glass slipper is to. I walked in… took my time to pick out the best looking one and then paid for it and walked out with my arm raised high like Judd Nelson at the end of the Breakfast Club.
