Hey everyone! As I write this it’s currently 3:36PM Eastern time… which could only mean one thing. CHAOS! The column is called Thursday Night Highlight with the key word being night… or in this case Thursday. The keyword is Thursday and as it’s currently Thursday I figured I’d hit you with the photos earlier than normal. That one up there? It’s the gimmie of the week and it features the faces of a madman, or in this case Johnny Depp. We have Captain Jack Sparrow, and Edward Scissorhands… two official Funko Pops, and my custom creation of the Demon Barber of Fleet Street Sweeney Todd. It’s the first time I’ve used a D.I.Y. Pop to make a custom and while I’m not great I wouldn’t say that it didn’t come out half bad! Jesse Pinkman and the Crystal Ship from the Pop! Rides line. Here we have another line of Funko products that I swore I’d never buy, and here we have another example of hard definitive proof that I’ve lied. Here’s the thing about the Crystal Ship Ride. Not only does it come with Jesse Pinkman, but it comes with a Jesse Pinkman variant. So you kind of have to get it if you’re going to have a complete Breaking Bad set. Right? That’s what I tell myself to help ease the pain. So here we have the RV and Jesse set with a Breaking Bad inspired backdrop. He’s ready to cook. Seriously the kitchen in that thing is great. Ronan and Thanos from the Pop! Marvel line Guardians of the Galaxy series. This photo was inspired by the scene in the Guardians of the Galaxy where Ronan goes to visit Thanos and they have their exchange. Thanos is awesome. Seriously. It’s one of the best 6 inch pops to date in my own personal opinion and I’ll tell you one thing. I didn’t like 6 inch Pops and I don’t care for the bobble heads, and this is one of my personal favorites. Crazy! I loved Guardians of the Galaxy so when I got these two Pops the first thing in my mind was how to create my rendition of the scene. So, I took the two Pops outside, put them on the railing of my porch and the rest is photoshop history! Ronan from the Pop! Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy line. Ah another Ronan shot in the same week! Well in all fairness that shot up there is only of the back of the Ronan Pop. Couldn’t disrespect the Accuser and only give him the back treatment. This is an actual background wallpaper of Ronan with the real Ronan removed and the Pop Ronan in his place. Now do you think we’ll see a variant of Ronan with a glowing hammer down the line? Possibly. I just speculate here. And the title “You all stand accused” is for you the readers. You’re accused of not following me on instagram or subscribing to my Youtube channel and really…I’m not sure what you’re waiting for at this point. Missing out on some grade A stuff.
