Evening everyone and welcome to another edition of Thursday Night Highlight! Yes… the title does state “Age of Ultron” and I assure you that is the main focus of this column this week as we’ll be showcasing three of my Age Of Ultron Pop photos from the past week or so, but I wanted to show off those Hot Topic exclusives up there and have a nice transition into my Youtube Channel! Iron Man Mark 43 (#66) from the Pop! Marvel Age of Ultron series. The thing I love the most about the newest Avengers series is that Funko took preexisting characters that we may already have owned and put them in action type poses. Look at Iron Man up there ready to blast off and take on whatever comes his way. I love this Pop and this picture yet simple is effective enough to show you what it looks like. Captain America (#67) from the Pop! Marvel Age of Ultron series. Captain America is ready to defend his country in this shot. The background is a cool Captain America wallpaper I found that had his shield falling into the flag and I added Captain to the shot. This is the best Captain America Pop by far in my personal opinion and a must own for any Steve Rodgers fan out there. I honestly can’t wait for the third Captain America movie after the masterpiece which was Winter Soldier. Says a lot for the first movie being a total bomb. So there we have the first avenger in all his glory! Hopefully we can get an Agent Carter Pop sometime down the road. Huh Funko? Please? He still owes her that dance. “We have a God.”
Thor (#69) from the Pop! Marvel Age of Ultron series. I created a photo of Spiderman and Venom with a new app I had found where it seemed like Venom was leaping towards Spidey. So with that same app I wanted to see if I could make it look as if the mighty Mjolnir was spinning in Thor’s hand. I think this Thor Pop takes the cake in comparison to the others we have already, but something tells me at some point we will see a variant of this pop wearing a helmet. I’m 99.9% sure that we will. There’s helmet variants of all the others right? Hot Topic exclusive.. no… Walgreens exclusive? Maybe. I’m just speculating here for all I know it could come out in a few months and be an A.C. Moore crafts store exclusive. Disclaimer: Don’t go to a craft store looking for Pops. I’m just making a witty joke (in my eyes) and if craft stores carry any Pops I’d venture a guest it would be the D.I.Y. ones. Only makes sense right?
