Welcome back to another edition of Custom Spotlight. Today we don’t have just one custom, but a whole series! If you grew up on the Disney Afternoon like I did you are going to absolutely love todays Spotlight! This series was done by Ryan Branoff. We asked Ryan and few questions about his customs.
Why did you decide to make customs based off of The Disney Afternoon?
“I am a 90s kid all the way! I was obsessed with Disney Afternoon when I was young and would always run home to catch my favorite cartoons. I decided to create some of my favorite characters because I always wanted them represented on the Pop platform.“
How did you come up with idea for each Disney Afternoon character Custom?
“Gizmoduck instantly came to me when I was browsing listings for Pop vinyls on eBay. I came across a Teen Titans’ Cyborg and the body of the figure reminded me a lot of Gizmoduck’s. The rest was a chain reaction and after I was finished Gizmoduck, I wanted to branch out to the other Disney Afternoon franchises.“
How long did it take to complete this custom series?
“The whole set took probably 20+ hours. I am crazy about attention to detail and won’t rush a figure. Gizmoduck definitely took the longest out of the 4 customs.“
