Thanksgiving is just around the corner. What are you thankful for? A new Loot Crate? 😛
Here is this month’s review of the “Battle” Loot Crate, which was focused a lot on video games where you battle others.
Let’s take a look at this month’s offerings.
1. Pirates vs. Ninjas T-Shirt- Loot Crate Exclusive
I do like this design, and enjoy reading all of the different words used in the creation of the shirt. Personally, I would choose to be a pirate.
2. Assassin’s Creed IV Unity Coin w/ pouch- Loot Crate Exclusive
I am not a fan/ played of Assassin’s Creed, but this “Unity Coin” is pretty intricately designed, and includes a spot where one can engrave their own name on it. Mine will probably go to one of my friends who like the game.
3. Mega Man Mini Helmet- Loot Crate Exclusive
This is a pretty cool exclusive, as I was a big fan of Mega Man growing up (still am a fan, actually). I got the red helmet, which I would have preferred blue. However, this will make it somewhere on my desk at work. In the meantime, my Chucky Funko Mystery Mini wants to pretend to be Mega Man for the holidays.
4. HALO Drop Ship Mega Bloks
Part of a special metallic set, each crate came with one of four different drop ships, each containing either a UNSC or Covenant soldier. I do collecting some Mega Bloks, and was excited to see this make it into a Loot Crate. However, it will be going to a friend for Christmas, as I am not into HALO.
5. Street Fighter Headband- Loot Crate Exclusive
I did not open this, as I have not decided on what I am doing with this. It’s an exclusive replica of Ryu’s headband from the Street Fighter game series. I loved playing Street Fighter growing up, but have no real need for this headband.
6. Other Digital Gifts
A few more fun little tidbits included in this month’s crate: a free download of Street Fighter IV Super Arcade Edition through Steam, some digital comic loot from Capcom, and a 50% off code for Lichdom Battlemage.
7. Battle Play Set
Each month the crate itself can actually be used to create a diorama. However, this month actually required us to work for it, and the result was a pretty fun street scene, and came with paper standees of Mega Man and Ryu that you could place inside the diorama.
I think this is a solid Loot Crate. A lot of exclusives, some very cool collectibles, and a realized theme. Head and shoulders above last month’s “Fear” crate.
Again, I am hearing people complaining that this box “Did not have a Funko Pop!”. To these people I say this: When Funko started appearing in Loot Crates, they never said it would be every month, or even every other month. They did say they will be getting Funko exclusives in the future. Here is that tweet from October:
We probably will not be getting anything Funko exclusive in Loot Crates until the new year. I know some of you missed out on the August crate that included the exclusive GITD Groot Pop! vinyl. what’s the best way to guarantee that you get any upcoming exclusive Funko products when they come out in the crates? By becoming a subscriber.

Each month is a different theme, and each hits a different area of geekdom. Best yet, the monthly subscription is less than $20. Try it out for a month, as you can cancel at anytime.
Happy Looting!
