Welcome back to Custom Spotlight! Today we have a custom to show you that anyone who grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons will instantly recognize. It is Daphne Blake from Scooby-Doo! This custom was created by Colin Fowble. We asked Colin a few questions about the creation of this custom.
Why did you decide to make a custom of Daphne?
“Even though I’m only 22, Scooby doo has always been my favorite cartoon. (I may have a space kook tattoo). I’ve been making customs of all my favorite movie and tv shows and I just needed to stop putting the Mystery Inc. Crew off for any longer.”
How did you come up with the idea for this custom?
“I got quite a few Big Bang theory pops on clearance at Barnes and noble, and needed something to do with all of them. Penny was the perfect fit for a Daphne Pop!. It had all the right features without any major modifications and I needed a quick project for the weekend“
How long did it take to complete this custom?
“I worked on it for about an hour a day for 3 days. I don’t have as much time with school during the week and work on the weekends, but I always love having a small project on the side. It was a pretty simple repaint, the only thing I needed to add was her signature green scarf.“
