Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of going throughout the Magic Kingdom, specifically they newly renovated New Fantasyland which you can read more about the construction equipment they availed. With me came a bunch of my Disney Pop! Vinyls, including the new Beauty and the Beast Pop! that Funko sent over to me when they heard I was coming down. Enjoy the resulting photo shoot.
Before we even got over into New Fantasyland proper, I found myself in front of Cinderella’s Castle and the Hub, where the Partners Statue is. First up is Cinderella in front of her castle.
Around the hub, Dumbo, Goofy, Donald, Pinocchio, and Jiminy Cricket found their statues.
From the hub, we made our way around to the Merida Meet ‘n’ Greet. This was actually my first time meeting Merida here, as her line is usually crazy. However, it was first thing in the morning so no real line. Merida was great, and very excited to see her little self.
From there, we arrived at the Mad Tea Party and the Alice in Wonderland part of the park. Alice and the Mad Hatter were not out (too early in the day), but here their Pop! versions, as well as the Cheshire Cat Pop!, posed around the area.
From there, it was off to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh and Tigger paid a visit to their area.
The centerpiece of New Fantasyland is the Seven Dwarves Mine Train, which recently opened. Snow White, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen insisted that they visited their new stomping grounds. Enjoy.
NOTE: If any of the gang in this pic sees this…. I am happy you guys saw the camera and I caught your happiness.
We then made our way over to Storybook Circus, where Dumbo is the headliner act.
Not to be outdone, Goofy (as The Great Goofini) takes to the skies in his Barnstormer act. NOTE: It doesn’t come off as planned.
Nearby, Goofy (as the The Great Goofini) and Donald (as The Astounding Donaldo) meet guests under one of the big tops. Here they are with their littler versions. NOTE: Minnie (as Minnie Magnifique) and Daisy (as Madame Daisy Fortuna) also meet in this area.
From there, we went Under the Sea and paid a visit to The Little Mermaid Kingdom with Ariel and Ursula.
Ariel even got to meet her namesake. I was offered gadgets and gizmos a plenty in trade in order for her to stay under the sea, but I declined. 🙂
In was time to get back up on land and into France, where we first came upon Gaston’s Village, and where Peasant Belle decided to wander around.
As we traveled over the bridge towards Belle’s Cottage, we got a great look at Beast’s Castle, home of the Be Our Guest Restaurant. Sadly, due to a flight delay, we missed our dining reservation. We had to settle with pictures outside of the restaurant.
It was then time to visit Belle’s Cottage, and the Enchanted Tales with Belle interactive Meet ‘n’ Greet.
Inside the experience, as you help recreate the night Belle and the Beast fell in love, you meet Belle, Lumiere, and this awesome…. lady?… Madame de Grande Bouche.
We then paid a quick visit to Pinocchio’s Village Haus. Inside it was crazy busy, so we didn’t stop by for an awesome Italian Flatbread Sub (it’s delicious) while overlooking the ‘it’s a small world’ ride, but Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket took a quick shot outside.
Next, Peter Pan and Hook visited Peter Pan’s Flight area. The construction walls were up, so shooting here was difficult.
Next, we visited Cinderella inside the Princess Fairytale Hall, and then checked out the castle courtyard, complete with Cinderella’s Fountain.
That concluded our visit to New Fantasyland (and we didn’t even touch all of the rides!), but that didn’t stop us from having fun. We made our way over to the Crystal Palace Restaurant on Main Street, USA, where Pooh and Tigger (along with Piglet and Eeyore) celebrate Friendship Day with their friends for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Both Pooh and Tigger loved meeting their Pop! cohorts, Tigger especially.
Lastly, we made our way to Town Square Theater, located at the exit to the park on Main Street, USA, to visit Tinkerbell at her home.
Well, it was a long day walking throughout New Fantasyland, but I had a blast, and so did all of the people I interacted with during the day. Special thanks to Allison over at Funko for her help with this photo shoot, and the Cast Members for taking the time out to indulge me in taking photos.
In case you missed it, while down in Florida, I also took the Frozen gang with me to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where we experienced Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! Click the picture below to see that shoot.
