In continuing our Toy Fair coverage, here is the new 2014 product from our friends over at Kidrobot.
DC Comics
The biggest news coming from Kidrobot at Toy Fair was the newly acquired DC Comics license. With it will come a line of Minis, Labbits, and large scale Labbits.
In addition to the blind box series, Kidrobot will also be releasing carded versions of both the Minis and the Labbits. The carded versions will be different in design from the blind box series figures, whether a different costume or a “battle damaged” design.
The large scale Labbits will inclue this awesome looking Joker.
There will also be a special Minis boxed set featuring the Crime Syndicate.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
New for 2014, the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming. In addition to a blind box Minis set of 10, which includes some sweet designs, and a keychain blind box series, the turtles, Shredder, and Splinter will also be released on cards in a special “Ooze Action Glow in the Dark” Series. Also in the works are large scale version of fan favorite villains Bebop and Rocksteady.
Megaman
Also announced at Toy Fair is the new Megaman series. This line will include both Minis and Keychains blind boxes, as well as large scale Megaman and Protoman for San Diego Comic Con.
Marvel
In 2014, continue to see Marvel inspired Do It Yourself Munnyworld Minis and Micros, as well as Zipper Pulls. On the Labbits side of things, a Series 2 will be released and some favorite designs from Series 1 will be variant released and carded, like Blue Flame Ghost Rider and Weapon X Wolverine. There will also be large scale Labbits released.
South Park
The “Stick of Truth” Series is finally out in stores to coincide with the new video game coming out. Also, the large scale Grand Wizard Cartman 6″ will be released in the Grand Wizard Edition, currently available at Walmart and other places.
Futurama
Expect the next series of the Futurama Minis blind box set to be made up of fan-favorite characters.
Family Guy
Nothing announced new regarding to Family Guy, but a new mobile app featuring Peter, Stewie, and the rest of the gang with bring a renewed excitement for the brand, so there is the possibility that we will see something in 2014.
Street Fighter
Expect to see Series 3 bring in a greater variety of characters from the Street Fighter Universe. Pictured here is the currently released Series 2.
Simpsons
Last, but not least, the Simpsons are celebrating 25 years of entertaining the masses, and Kidrobot will be celebrating with a special fan favorite blind box series, a boxed set of the Seven Duffs, a 25th Anniversary large scale Homer Buddha, and mini Homer Buddhas. I was told to also expect an appearance by Mr. Sparkle.
That’s it from the Kidrobot booth at Toy Fair. Stay tuned for more fun stuff in the upcoming week.
