For today’s review, I take a look at a set of PEZ dispensers that I found on store shelves earlier this year. With the rise once again of Pokemon (mainly due to the pandemic and people getting back in to the Trading Card Game, as well as the continued success of the Pokemon GO app game), I was not shocked to see a display of these in my local grocery store.

Here are five of the most popular Pokemon in PEZ form.

Pikachu

Charmander

Squirtle

Bulbasaur

Eevee

Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur were the three starter Pokemon that one could choose from in the first generation of the game, Pokemon Red and Blue. In a special version of the Gen 1 game, in Pokemon Yellow, you could be like Ash from the TV series and get Pikachu as your starter Pokemon. Recently, in the Nintendo Switch remake of these games, in Let’s Go Pikachu!, you could once again partner with Pikachu. In Let’s Go Eevee!, you can partner with another fan favorite Pokemon from Gen 1, Eevee.

I don’t collect a lot of PEZ dispensers, but these were a must have for me. I have been a fan of Pokemon since the first games and cartoon premiered here in the US over 20 years ago.

Do you collect PEZ dispensers? Do you have a focus, or just collect them all? I would love to hear about your collections in the comments below.
