For today’s review, I check out the first series of McDonald’s Pop! Vinyls released, part of the larger Ad Icons line. This first series is comprised of five regular Pop! Vinyls, and a Mini Pop! 2pk… and features some of the truly iconic McDonald’s characters, helmed by Ronald McDonald himself.

Here are some out of box looks.

Some people might think “People really think of these guys as iconic?”. The simple answer for me is “Yes”. Growing up, I actually have a lot of great memories associated with spending time at my local McDonald’s with my parents and grandparents. In addition to getting a Happy Meal with a great toy, there was an amazing play area for the kids. Unlike the streamlined look of today, McDonald’s in the 1980s and 1990s was decked out in vibrant colors, vivid murals, and even statues featuring these characters. These characters were part of my childhood, and I was excited to see that Funko chose to honor them in Pop! Vinyl form.

If you’d like to add any of these pieces, or from Series 2, check out our friends over at Entertainment Earth.
